B has been on campus all day, so I've had free run of the apartment.
I went to yoga.
I ate a lot of chips and salsa.
I listened to Britney Spears at a loud volume.
And then listened to The Band Perry (which is even more embarrassing).
I made Trader Joe's Gnocchi alla Sorrentina...yum!
And now I am reliving my teenage years by watching MTV.
The last time I saw a preview for the Real World I thought all of the people in the house were soooo old. Now they are younger than me.
Have you heard of an incredibly craptastic reality show called Pretty Amazing? You haven't? Consider yourself lucky.
It's the kind of show that you think was intended to be a full series...until the producers realized how awful it was and made it fit into a 30 minute time slot.
The girls are chipper and pretty, and they have done incredible things in their young lives, but the "challenges" they have to go through in order to win do their accomplishments no justice.
A two minute speech, a photo shoot, a red carpet event...what does this have to do with any of their accomplishments? And what example is that setting for the young women who read Seventeen?
That it's ok to have ideas, but the important thing is that you look pretty.
